RMVCA's Venture Capital in the Rockies Fall is Partnering with Invest Southwest 2011

November 2-4, 2011 in Phoenix, Arizona

(Phoenix, Ariz. — May 10, 2010) — Rocky Mountain Venture Capital Association (RMVCA) is partnering with Invest Southwest, the premier capital conference in Arizona and the Southwest, with title sponsor The Miller Group, to bring the best and brightest new technology ventures in the Southwest and Mountain West to regional and global investors November 2-4 at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort in Phoenix, Arizona.

The application deadline for business owners to present their company at the 19th Invest Southwest Capital/VCIR Fall Conference is Thursday, September 1st at 5pm. The companies selected will have the opportunity to be mentored by a hand-picked team of experts and share their business plan with angel, venture capital and institutional investors on November 2-4.

Invest Southwest is holding FREE "Get Ready Seminars" for business owners thinking about presenting at this year's conference. Every year, emerging companies in Arizona and across the Southwest compete to be one of the few chosen to present at the exclusive annual conference.

Venture Capital in the Rockies Unveils Latest Crop of Promising Startups Located in the Rocky Mountain Region

Twelve companies selected to present at VCIR Fall, the region's premier VC conference

Santa Fe, N.M. - September 2, 2010 - The organizers of the Venture Capital in the Rockies conference announced they have selected the region's 12 most promising startups to deliver elevator pitches on-stage to hundreds of conference-goers. Now in its third year, VCIR Fall builds off the continued success of VCIR Winter - the longest-running, largest and most successful VC conference in the Rocky Mountain region. This year's VCIR Fall conference will be held Sept. 15-17 at the El Dorado Hotel and Spa in Santa Fe, N.M.

"The 12 companies we selected to present at this year's conference really represent this year's best and brightest startups," said Brian Birk, managing partner at Sun Mountain Capital and col-chair of the event. Omniar makes image recognition software that's capable of identifying a range of objects, including 3D buildings, sculptures and retail items. Omniar returns with information about the object, helping people learn more about their physical surroundings.

New Mexico-based companies

JackRabbit Systems (JRS) provides its BookDirect Pricing and Availability Search Engine for lodging, events, and special offers to online travel portals such as city and state tourism department websites. Consumers search for pricing and availability and are redirected to the lodging property or event provider to complete the booking. JRS works with over 180 city and state tourism offices including the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor's Authority.

nanoMR develops medical diagnostic products using proprietary immunochemistry technology and sample processing techniques. nanoMR's first product addresses the blood culture market, detecting and identifying bloodstream infections directly from blood in under 2 hours, compared to 2-5 days for blood culture.

Skorpios Technologies is an early stage company bringing the economies and scale of the Si-industry to the Opto-Electronics market. Skorpios products are highly differentiated in existing applications and enable a new generation of market applications.

Utah-based companies

NextPage mitigates legal risk and reduces cost of storage by delivering the only universal Information Governance platform that tracks and takes action on any document - regardless of where it is stored.

Wastewater Compliance Systems, Inc. makes and sells a patented, submerged, aerated bio-reactor called Bio-Dome.
